Job Overview

This position manages business performance for a Value Stream within manufacturing, in conjunction with a cross-functional support team that includes Engineering, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, Health & Safety and New product Development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety - focus in line with plant objectives to ensure initiatives are successful and agreed targets are achieved. This includes accident reduction and 5S+1 program success.
  • Quality - focus on complaint reduction, driving improvements in GMP compliance and implementing a culture of right first time and problem solving.
  • Service - meet customer expectations through supplying product on time, understanding customer needs and creating opportunities for Exceptional Customer Experience (ECE) where possible.
  • Continuous Improvement - drive and implement projects and programs that deliver productivity improvements annually in line with budget (efficiency / unit cost / COPQ).
  • TE Operational Advantage - Lead and implement principles and tools to continuously improve processes and services.
  • People - Ensure staff selection and hiring meets business needs, performance management and employee reviews, carry out frequent 1:1 with direct reports, development and succession planning to ensure that a level of consistency is achieved and maintained in these areas.
  • KPI's - management of the business area using the KPI's to meet and improve performance in output, efficiency and cost goals. To include reporting and analysis of weekly / monthly performance. Escalation of issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution and achievement of production plans.
  • Lead plant communications for Business Unit in line with communications process.
  • Support the Sales &Operational Planning and budgeting process, ensuring capacity is in place and costs are aligned with budget.
  • NPD support and integration into the business to ensure we meet both plant and customer expectations and milestones.
  • Implement plans to support line ramps or changes, drive recovery plans, support other medical sites where necessary,
  • Report out as required to site leadership on key issues or programs that fall within the area of responsibility.
  • Drive of organizational change and support for business decisions and initiatives will be an important responsibility of the role.

Qualifications

  • Third level qualification in a relevant business, science or technical discipline.
  • Ideally 8 years' experience management experience with responsibility for business performance.

Key Requirements

  • Must Have proven ability to lead and motivate individuals and cross functional teams.
  • Must have experience working within manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous improvement Project Management and NPI. (Would be advantage).
  • Must have ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation, with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Must have proven decision-making ability and a demonstrated willingness to accept responsibility.
