The Muse's Core Values
Change is constant at a fast-growing company like The Muse—but what stays the same are the company’s core values. All aspects of The Muse's culture are governed by six key values—including a strict “no assholes” policy. Defined by the founders in the early days, the core values remain a central part of each employee’s performance review and ensure that all new Muse hires share the same principles.

The Muse’s Culture Crew
The Muse is committed to building a diverse team and being an inclusive employer not just on paper, but in practice. Our Culture Crew wants The Muse to be a welcoming environment for all, and meets twice a month to talk about ways to help employees engage with diversity and inclusion in an open and accessible way. Our team also maintains content hubs dedicated to Anti-Racism at Work, LGBTQIA+ at Work, Gender at Work, and Disability at Work.
Additionally, the Culture Crew gives our remote-first employees a chance to step away from their work and get to know each other better through virtual social activities. Whether it's a pumpkin decorating contest or drag bingo, our team loves to gather for the sole purpose of having fun.
