Who we are looking for as

State Street Corporation's Alpha's Professional Development Program is a leadership program designed to develop entry level employees within State Street Alpha. Over the course of two years the incumbent will be given 4 rotational assignments with a 6 month duration each. The rotational program is designed to provide key learning and growth opportunities within participating Alpha business lines or functional teams, along with a deeper understanding of State Street Alpha. The program extends over 24 months and incorporates specific training, professional development, and assignments across a variety of Alpha business units.

Participants are placed in our most meaningful and critical roles across the Alpha organization.

Successful program participants will be placed into permanent roles within State Street Alpha upon completion of two years in the development program where the collective knowledge, skills, and experience gained through the program can be applied.

What you will be responsible for as an ALPHA Officer

  • Intensive orientation and training at our offices in Boston, which includes development of State Street business and financial acumen, soft-skills trainings, and case studies.
  • Multiple cross-functional and cross-business job assignments designed to accelerate the development of critical industry knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Access to training courses on Alpha and essential business skills

Our roles may offer any combination of assignments that may involve activities such as those noted below.

  • Project management
  • Operational and technology data gathering, data configuration, data mapping and data analysis
  • Development of procedures and rollout
  • Development and communication of strategies, processes, innovative technology, client progress, client reference materials, financial reports, project/program information
  • May include client/strategic partner interaction
  • Assisting with client onboarding and implementation activities, gathering/assessing data, facilitating broad divisional progress monitoring and reporting
  • Financial analysis, modeling, and reporting
  • Enhancement efforts related to our technical and procedural infrastructure, business analysis, planning and execution
  • Evaluating competitor and prospective partner market data and assisting with strategies to recommend and implement partnerships and or upgrade our infrastructure
