In addition to editorial strategy, the Sr. Director of News is a strong leader of people, continuously elevating performance and raising the bar across the networks. By exchanging consistent, constructive feedback on programming, this role guides the team in covering everything from breaking news and weather forecasts to deep dives, beat journalism, and special programming.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS
Required Qualifications
- Experience: News experience - 10+ years, Management experience - 7+ years
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or comparable experience
- Technical skills: Programming knowledge and an understanding of the evolving digital media landscape
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to cultivate relationships and motivate co-workers. Write and speak Spanish fluently.

The base pay for this position generally is between $169,800.00 and $361,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
