The Senior Director of Talent will spearhead the talent acquisition and development efforts, focusing on innovative strategies to attract, retain, and nurture top talent. This pivotal role is essential in shaping our workforce, ensuring that our company remains competitive and at the forefront of innovation. The Senior Director of Talent will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align talent strategies with our business objectives, fostering a dynamic and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute comprehensive recruitment plans to attract top talent across all levels, ensuring alignment with the company's growth and diversity goals.
  • Enhance the candidate experience through streamlined processes and effective communication, ensuring a positive impression of the company.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies, universities, and professional organizations to source high-quality candidates.
  • Collaborate with leadership stakeholders across the enterprise to promote a culture of continuous learning and development through various educational resources and opportunities.
  • Design, enhance and oversee robust training programs, mentorship opportunities, leadership development initiatives, and career progression plans to foster employee growth and retention and prepare high-potential employees for future leadership roles.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure talent strategies are aligned with the company's long-term business objectives. Leverage external data and trends to inform innovative and competitive approaches to Talent Strategies.
  • Monitor and report on the key talent and performance metrics, trends, and best practices, providing insights and recommendations for talent optimization.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion by developing, implementing, and sponsoring initiatives, councils and employee resource groups that promote a diverse and inclusive workplace, ensuring all employees feel valued and respected.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance the company's employer brand. Ensure consistent and compelling employer brand messaging across all recruitment channels and leverage employee advocacy to promote the company's culture and values.
  • Ensure all talent practices comply with relevant labor laws and regulations by identifying and mitigating risks related to talent and overseeing that ethical practices are followed.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience w/ Bachelor's degree; 3 years of management.
  • 10+ years of experience in talent management or a related field. Proven track record of leading successful talent acquisition and development initiatives.
  • Experience in a senior leadership role within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Expertise in talent acquisition and development strategies. Demonstrated ability to develop strategies with enterprise impact, translate into a roadmap for execution, and lead enterprise-wide implementation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Models Delta Dental's values, competencies and behaviors while demonstrating Situational Leadership, engagement and a sense of belonging.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Communicates a compelling and inspired vision across the enterprise. Influences and leads without authority across the enterprise.
  • Experience in change management leadership for enterprise initiatives.
  • Proficiency in HR software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to handle sensitive situations.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 26. $159,700 - $369,000 national range.
