Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC seeks an Assistant Vice President, Risk Management in New York, NY

Work as a technical project manager for Applications and Infrastructure Security Risk team. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful and timely execution of security initiatives and projects which are focused on reducing cybersecurity and data security risks within wealth management of Morgan Stanley. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders and senior leadership to define the project scopes, deliverables, timelines, key performance, and key risk indicators of technical projects while also managing resources and budgets. Identify potential system, application, and infrastructure security risks. Implement mitigation strategies to safeguard crucial systems and data.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $165,000 and $165,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as an IT Analyst, Analyst, Technical Project Manager, or a closely related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with: Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and practices including Docker and Kubernetes; project management methodologies including Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall; Release Management and Version Control including Git; analyzing data to identify trends in Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators; identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks with application and its infrastructure; integrating multiple systems; communicating technical ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders; Cloud computing technology including AWS; project management tool JIRA; JQL (Jira Query Language); creating Dashboards and Gantt Charts; Database Management including SQL; Data Visualization in Tableau; foundational financial concepts and regulatory frameworks including SEC, and OCC; project deliverables quality assurance and control; Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint; Java; and Data Quality and Validation.
