Description and Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

System-Level Leadership:

  • Serve as the technical authority for server architecture, ensuring design and development align with customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support to junior engineers and system leads.

System Design and Integration:

  • Lead the integration of hardware, firmware, and software to deliver complete system solutions.
  • Oversee system validation and optimization to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.

Customer Engagement and Support:

  • Act as a technical liaison to cloud service provider customers, addressing inquiries, gathering feedback, and ensuring alignment on technical expectations.
  • Provide expertise to resolve critical issues and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.

Project Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, firmware, manufacturing, and supply chain, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Support project managers in identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive innovation in server design and architecture to enhance product competitiveness and performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure all systems comply with regulatory, environmental, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Support certification and validation processes as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 8+ years of experience in server system design, system engineering, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of server architecture, including CPUs, memory, storage, networking, and system integration.
  • Proven experience working with hyperscale cloud service providers (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Google, Meta).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior engineers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience presenting to customers and cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with Intel, AMD, Nvidia, or ARM platforms.
  • Knowledge of GPU/AI accelerators and thermal management solutions, such as liquid cooling.
  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards (e.g., CE, FCC, UL, RoHS).
  • Experience with risk management and project planning tools.
  • Certifications in project management or engineering (e.g., PMP, PE).
