Location: Farnborough, with flexibility to work from home dependent on business demands or similar.

Leidos Innovations UK Limited, National Security and Defence Sector is seeking a talented Lead Systems Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage day to day activities related to our sensitive hypersonics efforts within the UK. You need to be in the UK with the ability to hold SC clearance or above and you may need to apply for additional personnel security clearances.
We are looking for an individual to join a high-performing team and work confidently together with our national security and defence business and engineering teams within the UK and internationally.

The role will support work that delivers robust and efficiently managed technical solutions for our customer's sensitive hypersonics efforts. The role requires a degree of third-party and customer liaison, and will establish, then support ongoing growth.
What will I be doing?
- Act as the Lead Systems Engineer for the development of our hypersonics capability within the UK.
- Working collaboratively with business and engineering teams internationally.
- Support development of our international hypersonics business strategy.
- Traveling internationally per business requirements.
What does Leidos need from me?
- Application of systems engineering practices across the engineering 'V-model' to develop complex products.
- Understanding of systems engineering tools (e.g. DOORS, Cameo) and applicable languages (SysML) is desirable.
- Experience of managing engineering work packages to deliver value outcomes, including co-ordination with multi-disciplinary teams and international partners.
- Managing partners, including customers or suppliers and an ability to build excellent working relationships.
- Application of Defence, Military or other aerospace standards and design assurance processes is useful.
- A desire to develop and grow your systems engineering skills.
- Experience gained in defence or aerospace industry, in government or the armed forces is useful.
- Lead program reviews with the Customer.
- Lead trade studies.
- Comfortable working with spiral lifecycles in agile environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and works well in a team environment.
- Experience working in a secure environment.
Clearance Requirements: British - non-dual national - Most of our projects have nationality restrictions. SC or above cleared.
