Job Description Summary
As an EHS Transformation Leader, you are responsible for implementing Gas Power EHS Strategy, enabling intervention when areas of improvement are needed across projects in Taiwan.
By working closely with all internal stakeholders and external stakeholders e.g. the Customer and Partners, you will define, monitor and support resources to improve EHS performance.
In addition, you will also guide the workforce on the journey to map out and demonstrate what success look like. You will report operationally to the Gas Power Taiwan Execution Leader and functionally to the gas Power Asia Project EHS Leader.

- To execute Gas Power EHS strategy across Heavy Duty Gas Turbine (HDGT) and Aeroderivative Projects. To influence Partners, customers, contractors, colleagues, and GE leaders (both operational and EHS) to work as a role model for EHS. Coordinating with project teams to ensure alignment with transformational goals
- To deliver EHS excellence with a goal "Fatality free operations" to prevent serious and severe injuries including implementation of compliance to local regulatory and Gas Power EHS Minimum standards.
- To forecast anticipate problems, drive an accident prevention culture and keeping management apprised of progress and significant issues in the projects.
- Establishes safety focussed culture who embodies, style inspire and motivate employees to adhere to safety standards through shared vision, trust-building, and promoting personal growth.
- Support EHS professionals aligned Projects for achievable outcomes by mapping key outcomes and set examples of what changes look like and how to achieve it.
- Work with the Pole Projects EHS Pole leader, Portfolio Directors, Pole Construction & Commissioning, Technical Direction Installation (TDI) and Project Managers to coordinate planning and implementation of all EHS activities.
- Support Pole Projects EHS Pole leader in Daily Management of EHS Key Performance Indicators for Projects in portfolio & deliver timely information to in relation to any trends that become evident through analysis of data from portfolio of projects.
- Coaching & mentoring of EHS professional to inspire and think differently & build talent pipeline in the region.
- Ensure effective working relationships with GEV business in Taiwan to leverage best practices, outreach to government agencies, and drive consistent practice across GE Gas Power Projects portfolio.
- Support Pole Projects EHS leader in recruiting t new EHS team members, building a strong culture of sharing and teamwork and mentor EHS team members by helping them to meet their career potential, develop a high performing team and ensure retention of key talent to sustain business growth.
Required Qualifications
- At least 20 years' experience in project related field including construction, oil & gas and mining industries.
- Knowledge of the Power Plant industry and construction of power stations, sub stations and transmission grid systems
- Strong working knowledge of high-risk activities that are undertaken on constructions sites, including working at height, lifting operations,
- Permit to Work and commissioning activities.
- Ability to travel to and station at project sites in Taiwan as and when required.
- Collaborate transformations within the organization such as implementing safety campaigns, technological advancements, procedural changes etc
