We are seeking a highly skilled Developer/Senior Developer to join a cross-functional scrum team within a business capability POD. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in building and maintaining microservices and REST APIs, with a focus on Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, and Spring technologies. You will work closely with other team members to deliver high-quality solutions in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend microservices and RESTful APIs to meet business requirements
- Develop and maintain scalable solutions using Java, Spring, and other modern technologies
- Write unit tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the codebase
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Participate in SCRUM ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives
- Provide mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing
- Optimize existing code to improve performance and scalability
- Follow continuous integration (CI) practices to streamline the development process
- Contribute to technology evaluations and the adoption of new tools and frameworks

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master's degree a plus)
- 6+ years of development experience, with a focus on backend services and API development
- Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and Spring Data
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and REST API design
- Proven experience working with Kubernetes and containerization technologies
- Experience with Microsoft Azure for cloud-native application development
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and SCRUM practices
- Familiarity with financial services, particularly in wealth management (nice to have)
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

This posting includes a base salary range EPAM Canada would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate.
