We are seeking a highly skilled Developer/Senior Developer to join a cross-functional scrum team within a business capability POD. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in building and maintaining microservices and REST APIs, with a focus on Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, and Spring technologies. You will work closely with other team members to deliver high-quality solutions in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement backend microservices and RESTful APIs to meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain scalable solutions using Java, Spring, and other modern technologies
  • Write unit tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the codebase
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Participate in SCRUM ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Provide mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing
  • Optimize existing code to improve performance and scalability
  • Follow continuous integration (CI) practices to streamline the development process
  • Contribute to technology evaluations and the adoption of new tools and frameworks
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master's degree a plus)
  • 6+ years of development experience, with a focus on backend services and API development
  • Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and Spring Data
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and REST API design
  • Proven experience working with Kubernetes and containerization technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure for cloud-native application development
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and SCRUM practices
  • Familiarity with financial services, particularly in wealth management (nice to have)
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
