We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Automation Tester with expertise in Java to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing quality assurance processes, mentoring team members, and leading the design and execution of automation frameworks across multiple projects. You will work closely with developers, QA specialists, product owners, and DevOps engineers to deliver reliable and high-quality software solutions. Your leadership skills, technical knowledge, and problem-solving abilities will be critical in shaping testing strategies and driving continuous improvement within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute automation strategies and roadmaps for teams and projects
  • Support and mentor QA team members to enhance their skills and foster knowledge sharing
  • Review and validate functional, integration, and acceptance test cases created by the team
  • Automate complex test scenarios for regression, functional, and smoke testing to ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Plan, delegate, and monitor automation tasks to align with project deadlines and quality goals
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable automation frameworks to optimize testing efficiency
  • Integrate testing workflows into DevOps pipelines to improve delivery processes and overall efficiency
  • Collaborate with developers to identify and address code quality issues, advocating for testable architecture
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical system issues, providing recommendations to improve system performance
  • Lead backend testing efforts, including validation of REST APIs and data-layer functionality
  • Oversee test environments, manage test data, and ensure version control of test scripts for consistency
  • Track and report QA progress, metrics, and risks to stakeholders, offering actionable insights for improvement

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least three years focused on test automation or a combination of testing and development
  • One or more years of leadership or team management experience in QA or automation
  • Extensive experience testing REST and SOAP APIs using tools such as SOAPUI, Postman, and Groovy scripting
  • Proficiency in creating, maintaining, and managing automation scripts to meet system acceptance criteria
  • Proven ability to lead QA initiatives and implement best practices within teams
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience integrating automation strategies into sprint workflows
  • Expertise in integrating automated testing with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Docker
  • Comprehensive knowledge of functional, integration, regression, and performance testing techniques
  • Experience writing and reviewing unit tests to ensure code dependability, usability, and edge case coverage
  • Strong understanding of manual testing practices and transitioning manual test cases into automated frameworks
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills for addressing complex system challenges
  • Experience creating detailed documentation such as test plans, procedural guides, and QA reports
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with English proficiency at a B2+ level or higher
