In this role, you will:

  • Mainframe software product installation and support: Provides technical support for software products that run on the z/OS operating systems.
  • This includes complex software configuration, patching, upgrading, and troubleshooting.
  • Uses diagnostic tools and/or detailed vendor specifications to analyze complex system software problems.
  • Develops documentation for software requirements and operational procedures.
  • Determines security access requirements for software products.
  • Performs all compliance procedures associated with acquiring, maintaining, and disposing of software assets.
  • Contribute to the analysis of business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements.
  • Drive solutions to reduce Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR), enable High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
  • Champion and support other team members by reducing churn and waste, removing blockers, escalating issues and helping to mentor and grow team members.
Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work
  • 4+ years of z/OS experience
  • 4+ years of TSO (Time Sharing Options) experience
  • 4+ years of experience with zSeries mainframe operating systems and storage systems
  • 4+ years of JCL (Job Control Language) experience
    experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications :
  • 4+ years REXX programming
  • 4+ years Assembler programming
  • 4+ years SMP/E experience
  • 4+ years supporting IBM, Broadcom, BMC or other mainframe vendor software products
  • 3+ years z/OS UNIX System Services
