The Senior Infrastructure Engineer (VP) is responsible for the overall stability of Tradeweb Australia. This role will play a vital part in the engineering, strategy, and operations of the firm's technology infrastructure.

This person will implement large, complex technology solutions supporting one or more business and/or technology areas; and work with the global Infrastructure teams to develop and implement appropriate solutions that may involve multiple platforms, software/hardware, technologies, and tools. Ability to multi-task in an environment of constantly changing priorities of the Tradeweb Global infrastructure will be required.

The preferred candidate is a self-starter, takes ownership, is a good communicator and has previously worked in operations, support and Infrastructure teams. This person should be a well-rounded professional with strong knowledge in network engineering, administration, security, systems engineering and datacenter technologies. The candidate should be passionate about technology and eager to collaborate with global team members in a fast-paced environment, developing solutions, and supporting business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with a team of Network/System Admins in the APAC region
  • Participate in the configuration and troubleshooting of the firm's networks, servers, infrastructure and services
  • Address day to day operational support needs and improve the health and hygiene of the TWA Infrastructure
  • Create metrics, monitoring and reporting for a higher level of information, i.e. trends analysis and management of the "health" of the Infrastructure
  • Physical equipment installation and support of the regional datacenters
  • Guide the team in troubleshooting systems, storage and network issues
  • Integrate solutions developed by the Engineering teams into the operations team
  • Resolve complex issues and conflicts
  • Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and interface groups using a variety of techniques and collaboration, from initiation to close
  • Partner with security teams to implement security standards across the Infrastructure
  • Work with and directly lead external vendors, third parties, and associated agencies, as and when necessary
  • Provide subject matter expertise and resolve complex break/fix scenarios, by engaging broader teams as necessary; partnering with vendors, and regions to achieve continuous improvement

Qualifications/Skills

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic engineering, or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in infrastructure engineering and operations
  • Very good analytical, organizational, process improvement and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work under heavy pressure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of networking principles, practices and technologies
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux server technologies
  • Multiple platform familiarity, e.g., Grid, Internet, Client/Server, Virtualization, Storage
  • Strong understanding of enterprise storage solutions
  • Strong grounding in all areas of Infrastructure Technology
  • Project-focused, able to run multiple tasks for different functional areas
  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision as well as within a collaborative team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player
