Responsibilities
- Carry out all Infrastructure storage-related configuration activities including storage and host zoning, storage provisioning, copy services and masking, disaster recovery configuration, and replication for the different SAN storage technologies and platforms to provide the bank applications with the required storage with the maximum performance
- Design, Install, and operate the Network Area Storage (NAS) infrastructure and work on continuous improvement for the performance while ensuring a high standard of security and vulnerability remediation
- Configure, maintain, and manage continuous data protection for databases and critical systems and support during recovery of those databases and critical systems
- Review the storage platforms and SAN switches software and firmware life cycles, review vendors functional and security newsletters and carry out software and firmware upgrades, apply fixes and security patches
- Ensure all storage platforms and SAN switches, storage replication, and continuous data protection are monitored, logging, alerting and notifications are enabled/configured along with employing specialized monitoring tools for each storage and SAN connectivity technology which will give deep insights on the storage and san switches performance and healthiness in order to act proactively on predictive failures or bugs
- Perform large-scale migrations and upgrades during storage technology refreshes and capacity upgrades to provide better storage performance and connectivity along with storage resource availability
- Participate in storage solutions upgrade design, architecture reviews, security reviews, capacity planning, and performance trend analysis
- Troubleshoot storage performance, connectivity issues, replication, and continuous data protection issues along with providing root cause analysis and providing support to other teams during issues
- Perform ongoing tuning, capacity efficiency, cleansing, and resource reclamation to ensure that storage resources are being utilized optimally and to ensure the availability of storage resources
- Perform and automate ongoing health checks, capacity utilization trend analysis, and conduct risk assessment exercises for backup solutions to ensure efficiency, availability, and smooth functionality
- Continuously ensure Disaster Recovery Readiness, and replication functionality and conduct disaster recovery tests to validate the configuration and readiness
- General storage administration tasks, storage software and hardware support, storage device configuration, support of daily backups, monitoring of storage devices, storage performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of ISCSI storage configuration and management. SAN network experience with Brocade Fabric Switches
- Sound knowledge about detecting slowness on SAN switches using tools Like BNA and SAN navigator
- Expertise in Storage & Backup Management Tasks such as monitoring, backup and archival, creation and modifications of LUNs, Snapshots, Data Replication, Reporting, and analysis
- Troubleshoot Backup devices and manage backup policies including full, incremental, differential/various other backups
- Require prior experience in SAN Fabric Administration including zoning, LUN security, and HBA configuration and troubleshooting
- Configuring all (SAN) Storage Attached Network and (NAS) Network Attached Storage infrastructure including the Fiber Channel network. Ensures that all hosts are properly configured to use the storage infrastructure. Ensure host connectivity and configuration to Hybrid and Native Cloud Storage solutions
- Monitor storage performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal throughput and reliability
- Management of HPE MSA storage including storage provisioning, replication, copy data management, and monitoring/alerting
- Must have expert knowledge of fiber channel and TCP/IP protocols, SAN management software, automation, and resource management
- Conduct storage capacity planning and forecasting to accommodate future growth and changing business requirements
- Ensure appropriate storage mediums are controlled and accounted for in the inventory, and released to off-site processes and on-site storage areas

- 5+ years of experience in managing enterprise-level HPE MSA Storage Infrastructure, SAN, and Backup environments
- Proven experience as a Storage Administrator with hands-on experience in managing HPE MSA or similar HPE storage solutions
- Experience with Data Center Operations
