About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant to join the Commercial Mortgage Loan Servicing team within Commercial Banking Operations supporting the Agency portfolio consisting of multifamily loans such as Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Ginnie Mae, HUD and FHA.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for reconciling general ledger and demand deposit accounts associated with the loan portfolio.
- Handle analysis and resolution of loan accounting and reporting issues/discrepancies.
- Conduct in-depth research and variance analysis of data and transactions.
- Calculate Adjustable-Rate Mortgage (ARM) indexes on multifamily loans.
- Prepare/approve Payoff Demand quotes for loan requests and interpret yield maintenance/prepay loan documents and calculations.
- Perform other duties/projects as assigned and/or required.

- Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors
- Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs
- Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements
- Lead or participate on large cross group projects
- Mentor less experienced staff
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Leverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
- 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution
- Evaluate moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of planning and direction conducted to resolve complex business problems
- Advanced Excel skills desirable
- Strong analytical, reporting and leadership skills
- Strong accounting reconciliation skills
- Strong document interpretation in commercial loan documents as it relates to loan payoffs, yield maintenance and prepay
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in other areas of a team
- Strong communication
