Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Marketing Consultant/Experience Optimization Strategist. This role sits in the newly formed Experience Optimization Strategy team and is responsible for scaling and championing a data-driven test-and-learn mindset for optimizing the digital customer experience leveraging Adobe Target, Realtime Customer Data Platform, Experience Manager, and Customer Journey Analytics. This suite of tools allows us to personalize through experimentation, marketing placement optimization, deploying the platform on the most valuable journey opportunities identified hand-in-hand with the broader marketing organization.
While this platform is best-in-class for the industry it is nascent at Wells Fargo, and this team is pivotal in its end-to-end success: experiment ideation, test design and configuration, placement enhancements for UX, design, and location, launch and measurement, and the ultimate recommendations for the winning experience. With this broad remit, the team sits at the center of cross-functional experts, orchestrating efforts spanning product, tech, design/UX, marketing, and analytics.

In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with marketing and Line of Business partners to understand their key initiatives and identify high-value opportunities for experiments and personalization.
- Cultivate relationships with Line of Business marketers, evangelizing need to test-and-learn, identifying opportunities through customer insights and competitive research/benchmarking, and building testing backlog.
- Evangelize a culture of experimentation within the enterprise, share learnings cross-business, and serve as the experimentation subject matter expert, staying abreast of industry trends, new platform rollouts and competitive intelligence.
- Build, prioritize, and manage the experiment backlog, stewarding experiments through intake, development, QA, UAT, launch, completion and results generation.
- Utilize a hypothesis-driven and data-centric approach for testing creative content changes, audience segmentation, placement/layout options, and UX design to lift performance.
- Work closely with analytics partners on design of experiment, measurement plans, and reporting to interpret results, produce recommendations and promote iterative tests.
- Enforce best practices and maintain playbook for ongoing process and procedure improvements to increase test velocity and scale effective testing.
- Engage with platform capabilities partners to innovate and advance the testing capability.
- 5+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms (i.e. Mobile or Social Media) experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of Marketing, E-business, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms, or Social Media experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 4+ years of experience in marketing channel management, optimization, Martech, and analytics; with direct experience in A/B and Multivariate Testing with experimentation platforms such as Adobe Target, Optimizely
- Experience in financial services, especially banking.
- Ability to manage highly complex projects, from concept to requirements to development to implementation.
- Ability to achieve objectives requiring a high level of cooperation from cross-functional partners in other teams - LOB marketing, marketing operations, digital product, technology, data management, and data science/modeling.
- Ability to deliver incremental business profit via marketing and to think critically about the next best opportunity.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and create a pioneering playbook for others to follow rather than following rote steps.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively, in an environment which has a continual sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends and capabilities in the experimentation and optimization space.
- Experience in personalization and journeys in multi-channel environments (online, mobile app, email, call centers, brick-and-mortar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex concepts into simplified solutions in a straightforward and understandable manner to multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders.
