About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking aFinance Analyst.
Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines
In this role, you will:
- Participate in functions related to financial research and reporting
- Forecast analysis of key metrics, as well as other financial consulting related to business performance, operating and strategic reviews
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the scope of responsibilities
- Research moderate to complex financial data in support of management decision-making for a business
- Create and communicate various activities such as product pricing, product, and portfolio performance
- Exercise independent judgment to guide key metrics forecasting, closing data and validation
- Present recommendations for resolving all aspects of delivering key forecasting projections as well as financial reporting to support monthly and quarterly forecasting
- Develop expertise on reporting that meets brand standards and internal control standards
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

- 2+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Chartered accountant (or) Cost & Management accountant or MBA Finance with 8+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Candidate must have hands on experience in LOB / segment / product reporting / management reporting / dashboard / presentations / Analytics / commentary.
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in finance or reporting roles, including monthly close, management reporting, Reconciliation & General ledger and good with analysis and commentary skills.
- Preferably should have relevant banking experience into retail, small, consumer banking with hands on experience in management reporting, forecasting and planning process.
- Candidate should be fairly familiar with the AU/OU/ Hierarchy process and should also be extremely good at change management and ability to turn around the reports not only with speed, but with high quality, integrated controls and checks.
- Candidate should also have good financial modelling, template building, dashboard and presentation skills as this will really help in transforming the reports to the next level.
- Candidate should have Essbase, Hyperion expertise in data retrievals from different cubes. (Must have)
- Ability to work both independently and within team environment. Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Good understanding of accounting and preferably knowledge around IFRS and US GAAP is an additional advantage.
- Industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience of working across one or more geographic territories or regions.
- Must be willing to work in UK shift.

- Candidate should have hands on experience on FPNA activities, ability to break the information into meaningful data points, good story writing and commentary skills.
- Candidate should have good stakeholder engagement skills and should have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ensure appropriate loading and accuracy of the month end close drivers' information and ensure data integrity. Good with data management, data integrity and data lineage.
- Deliver on Metrics tracking, balances breakdowns, data deep dive's, should be good with fixes, plug data gaps, strong data and bring in improvements wherever applicable.
- Capable of conducting in-depth research of large data (financial & non-financial) using various tools and providing insightful solutions to stakeholders.
- Interact / coordinate with different teams to proactively raise any specific issues or challenges around the business and work independently with the concerned teams to resolve issues.
- Candidate should ensure faster turnaround time on query handling and ad-hoc if any, with good understanding of change management and its likely impacts and consequences.
- Incumbent should have very good skills on Essbase, SQL (advanced SQL is desired) and query management. Knowledge of Power BI/Tableau and data analytics will be added advantage.
