Job Overview

Finance Analyst II will be part of the Automotive Americas Finance Organization acting as supporting Business Partner to the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) organization, located in Winston-Salem (NC-USA) or in Hermosillo (Mexico). In this role, the candidate will support other financial analysts to execute the regular financial activities (month close and forecasts), support decisions and drive productivity improvements.

The candidate will also work with the ISC counterparts (Logistics and Procurement) to maintain systems to consolidate results, update key performance indicators and provide data to Executive team and Business decision support teams.

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities:

  • Support ISC financial analyst to prepare materials and execute cadence for the ISC finance area.
    • Weekly: retrieve data from SAP and internal data warehouses to prepare reports and track performance of logistics and procurement.
    • Monthly: support preparation of relevant accruals, explanations of past performance and forecast with ISC partners.
    • Quarterly: support definition of targets for the beginning quarter (commit forecasts).
    • Yearly: support budget for ISC and provide relevant inputs for 5-year strategic plan.
  • Function as an effective finance business partner supporting Supply Chain organization
  • Use analytical tools (Tableau, PowerBI or others) to create deeper insights on performance of logistics and on material productivity.
  • Develop models for analysis and forecast of purchase price variances (PPV) and material productivity.
  • Extract, consolidate and report information from systems such as SAC and Hyperion Planning to support ISC organization and FP&A team.
  • Provide feedback on improvements of processes and systems; seek inputs to improve how information is provided.
  • Improve documentation of existing and new procedures for financial support to ISC.
  • May need to travel sporadically.

What your background should look like:

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA a plus.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Finance activities and skills in Accounting or cost accounting.
  • Experience supporting supply chain (freight, logistics, imports) or materials (Procurement, material productivity, purchase price variance accounting) organization a plus.
  • Familiarity with Operations organizations, esp. supply chain and procurement.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. Capable of translating complex analysis into simple messages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Must be detail oriented and self-motivated, as this position requires to work independently and in teams.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, demonstrates intellectual curiosity and ownership of tasks.
  • Ability to partner with internal customers effectively.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
  • Experience with Hyperion, BPC and SAP systems are desired.
  • Data Analytics skills (Tableau, PowerBI, Python, R, SQL) is a plus.• Analytical thinking

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $89,000 - 130,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
