About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Senior Manager.

Department Overview

Wholesale Operations (WO) is ~4200 FTE team in India and the Philippines (I&P) with ~45% of Global headcount based out of I&P sites. The team support end to end of Operations for Commercial Banking, Wealth and Investment Management and Corporate & Investment Banking businesses. The Operations teams are aligned as under

  • Commercial Banking Operations (CBO) supports the wholesale credit needs of CB, CIB, WIM, and Small Business Banking clients across the globe. Team undertakes end to end client lifecycle activities covering loan fulfillment, loan servicing, customer service, collections, and cash management along with Opex support through change and transformation management.
  • Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) Operations provides services to clients through client-facing and back-office functions supporting the entire account lifecycle from client onboarding, account maintenance, trade and asset servicing, money movement to client reporting. WIM Ops also provides brokerage and advisory services to WIM clients.
  • Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Operations provides support to Markets Clients across the trading cycle covering client onboarding, static data set up & maintenance, post trade functions like Settlements, Confirmation, Assets Servicing and Reconciliation. Team also supports trade management, Funding & Syndicates and undertake middle office functions covering - Daily P&L Validation, Trade Validation & Position Reconciliation along with supporting change and transformation initiatives.
  • This position is responsible for executing various business initiatives which would involve collaborating and managing essential activities across various functional groups. Incumbent is expected to work in a highly matrixed organization and partner with leaders across the enterprise to deliver on any identified opportunities.

  • Manage and develop a team of Business Execution Consultants while ensuring successful planning, integration, impasse resolution, and measurement of operations with moderate to high complexity and visibility
  • Engage functional leaders to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo's policies and business line objectives
  • Build and Lead the Business Resiliency team for Wholesale Operations
  • Identify potential risks when implementing change along with developing mitigation strategies and plans
  • Recommend opportunities for Business Execution process improvement
  • Interpret procedures and processes, and provide leadership to strategize and execute a variety of programs, services, and initiatives that are significant in scope, complexity, and risk
  • Maintain strong engagement with multiple functions/stakeholders, take ownership of the delivery
  • Collaborate with and influence functional business partners, leaders, and executive management to provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business
  • Develop/Maintain MIS infrastructure to enable execute data-intensive reporting for IP Wholesale Operations
  • Drive, motivate and develop the team and establish a culture of high performance, ownership, accountability, transparency, and sustained performance.
  • Demonstrate ability to challenge existing processes where they do not align with the Target Operating Model and suggest solutions to bring efficiencies in the process.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications.
  • Collect, analyze, and represent data in various reports and decks. Ability to understand data, identify gaps and generate timely alerts to reduce/ eliminate gaps/ risks.
  • Produce trends/ patterns, analysis based on available data and produce future trends/ opportunities
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent
  • Develop and leverage data-based insights to help drive continuous improvement
Required Skills:
  • Overall experience of 20 plus years, with 15+ years in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services.
  • Experience working with Global Bank with Wholesale LOBs
  • Support Senior Leadership in Global Role
  • Understanding of Wholesale Operations would be preferred
  • Strong experience in managing people, developing strong performing teams and mentoring / coaching people to become leaders
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or a similar field and project management certification would be a plus.
  • Exhibits strong relationship/ negotiation orientation with senior level business partners globally.
  • Senior level experience in or exposure to change management/ program management/ solutioning at global level preferred.
  • Highly proficient with various application in Microsoft suite - including excel, word and power point
  • Excellent Communication, planning and organizing skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management, networking, and relationship management skills.
  • Preferred location is Hyderabad
