Your New Role...
The Director International Intercompany Content & Regulations will support the Content Decisioning & Intercompany Monetization team in developing broader content strategy as well as supporting the international content community directly with evolution of specific local policy and guidance. The Director will also work closely with regulatory, legal and market teams to track, analyse and respond to investment obligations in those markets where they apply. The Director will be connected to teams across functions and markets.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Support development of Intercompany content strategy and implementation, with specific focus on International
- Work closely with Content Decisioning & Intercompany leadership to understand and optimize global approach to intercompany content transactions.
- Understand content transactions by content type, deal type and direction.
- Manage process by which international intercompany content decisions and new policy areas are agreed, working with a large set of colleagues across finance, tax, legal and other functions; Document processes accordingly with considerations attached.
Build and evolve structure for specific content decisioning across International
- Partner with members of the Global Content team to advise business partners on a range of intercompany questions.
- Perform analysis to serve as basis for resolution of complex content decisions, building holistic approach that takes into account financial, performative and other considerations.
- Be a trusted partner to business teams and local markets as well as accounting, tax, audit, and other regulatory and compliance partners on issues of intercompany content usage.
- Provide day to day guidance to International based teams, work on new questions in line with strategic principles and operational challenges.
- Manage multiple questions in parallel and ensure consistency of responses across teams.
Work in partnership with the Compliance and Legal team, to support investment obligations and other regulatory issues with a content finance lens
- Work closely with Regulatory, Legal and Compliance teams to ensure that investment obligations are clearly tracked and monitored in regions where they apply.
- Build reporting and analysis to understand local market progress against investment obligations.
- Work with teams to interpret new guidance and how it pertains to WBD. Advise local content and business teams where appropriate.
- Support team to identify, analyse and submit relevant financial information linked to investment obligations.
Support global intercompany initiatives as determined by Global Content leadership
- Provide broad spectrum support to intercompany topics and initiatives, particularly as it pertains to core content strategy.
- Provide analysis and insight in response to senior management requests.
Qualifications & Experience...
- Proven experience in accounting, forecasting or strategy.
- Entertainment, content finance, research, or analytics experience preferred (not required).
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (or relevant experience).
- MBA or CPA (or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Critical thinker.
- Strong attention to detail / experience working with high volume of data preferred.
- Must have proficiency in all MS Office applications.
- Advanced knowledge managing complex datasets in Excel.
- Advanced ability to distill data and insights into persuasive visualizations using Powerpoint
- Quantitative analysis skills.
- Must be able to develop and implement projects.
- Experience working to build process and run efficient operations involving high volume of stakeholders.
- Strong written, oral and presentation skills; a confident communicator able to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and with a high degree of professionalism.
- Work independently and adapt to the changing needs of the business.
- Work well under time constraints. Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Good problem resolution, organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to inspire others.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
