Job Summary

This is a highly visible strategic position in Equinix's Treasury Department, reporting to the Assistant Treasurer / Global Head of Cash Management and Treasury Operations. It presents significant growth opportunities at Equinix's unique and fast-growing REIT corporation. The Director of Treasury Operations will corporate treasury functions, notably investments, cash flow forecasting, SOX controls and reporting, and provide leadership and direction to the Americas' Treasury Operations team. As a strong people leader, they will manage three direct reports globally across various time zones, fostering collaboration and performance within a diverse team. They will be directly involved with real estate financing, M&A, greenfield expansion, Treasury Digital Transformation projects, intercompany financing and repatriation, capital planning requirements, and security management. They can directly influence the policies and procedures established for the Global Treasury Operations function. The position will partner closely with internal and external stakeholders and be supported by treasury staff located in the US and Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction on global Treasury Operations
  • Manage corporate Investment portfolio
  • Manage global funding initiatives to meet our subsidiaries' CAPEX, acquisition, and operational requirements
  • Manage external debt servicing, including bank relationship management, debt covenant compliance, forecasting and monitoring
  • Minimize foreign exchange exposures within the AMER region through close partnerships with the FX team and other internal stakeholders
  • Maximize return and minimize risk of excess liquidity through appropriate investment vehicles and periodic repatriations
  • Lead monthly global intercompany Netting process
  • Optimize intercompany funding structure and keep track of intercompany loan portfolio
  • Manage and keep track of inbound and outbound guarantee/security portfolio
  • Review, negotiate and optimize bank guarantee facilities
  • Lead Treasury functions in real estate acquisition, M&A, and integration projects
  • Develop and manage key Treasury KPI and control dashboards
  • Develop and present both ad-hoc and prepared presentations on treasury operations initiatives to senior management
  • Lead the periodic review of the Treasury policies and develop Treasury procedures as necessary
  • Lead Quarterly Treasury Sox testing
  • Lead year-end auditing for the Group and local statutory accounts issuance
  • Lead WW Treasury team on the Treasury Transformation project
  • Lead continuous improvement of Treasury tools and technology
  • Direct management of three FTEs in the US and Canada, along with informal coaching of junior global team members

Qualifications

  • Twelve plus years of experience in finance or treasury management in an international corporate or banking environment, with a strong background in Investments, Corporate Finance, Risk Management and Liquidity Management, and with people management experience
  • Excellent collaboration skills in managing cross-functioal projects, particularly with legal, tax and accounting functions worldwide
  • Experience working with PowerBI, Tableau and treasury management systems is an advantage
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills and a highly flexible and team-oriented personality
  • An advanced degree in finance, accounting or treasury is required

The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

• San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $198,000 to $298,000 per year

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
