About the team

The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

The Search and Account Safety Operations team will assume a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of TikTok's search and account domains, implementing operational processes, and overseeing day-to-day activities. By proactively addressing safety concerns and enhancing operational efficiency, the team will significantly contribute to TikTok's mission of providing a safe, smooth, and enjoyable search experience for users worldwide.

Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of 20-50 Evaluators and Analysts dedicated to monitoring and analyzing Search & Account-related projects, content moderation, labeling, and quality assurance (QA).
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for Evaluators to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge for effective performance.
- Oversee the end-to-end moderation quality process, establish procedures for identifying and managing escalated issues requiring further review, and drive improvements in evaluation and quality processes.
- Conduct regular evaluations, provide ongoing feedback and coaching, and handle underperformance with structured support plans.
- Work with global and cross-functional teams to address process gaps, align strategies, and contribute to the optimization of evaluation, moderation, and quality performance.
- Provide detailed weekly and monthly reports on evaluation outcomes to stakeholders, delivering actionable insights on content quality and emerging trends.
- Represent EMEA interests in global content quality discussions, ensuring regional nuances are respected while aligning with global best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience managing diverse teams, particularly in content moderation, labeling, and QA.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- In-depth understanding of TikTok's content policies and community guidelines.
- Proven experience in content moderation, content analysis, or a related field.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and lead a team to deliver high-quality results.
- Strong data analysis skills, with an ability to leverage data for performance assessment and quality improvement.
- Experience managing performance reviews and handling personnel management, including underperformance.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Proficiency in using moderation tools and content management systems.
