Job Description
The Washington Post is seeking an experienced account executive to lead the sales efforts for a new premium subscription offering. This role is pivotal in building and launching a high-end product that caters to the needs of policy experts and executives who want to be part of the Post's new thought leadership products. In addition, the account executive will be responsible for selling enterprise subscription services to corporates, helping shape and execute the go-to-market strategy for group access to WP. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the B2B membership space, with a proven track record of selling products tailored for top-tier executive audiences and policy experts.

Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to acquire and retain premium subscription clients from c-suite, policy, and thought leadership circles.
- Also responsible for selling enterprise access to WP to corporates, including law firms, consultancies, tech, and financial institutions.
- Identify and target potential clients through research, networking, and outreach, building strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with editorial and research teams to produce high-quality journalism and original reports that provide value to members.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing members, ensuring high satisfaction and engagement with the premium membership and enterprise offerings.
- Monitor sales performance, membership engagement, and overall product success, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Utilize data and insights to continuously refine and improve the membership offering and sales approach.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in B2B sales or product management, specifically targeting executive/ corporate audiences.
- Proven track record of building and selling high-end products to c-suite executives, policy leaders, and thought leaders.
- Strong understanding of the media industry and the needs of executive-level clients.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative sales and marketing strategies.
- Experience in planning and managing high-profile events and producing thought leadership content.

The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
