Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate channel management within the Biosciences Division (BID) Sales for Channel Business.
  • Manage Master dealers and Associate dealers with a focus on flawless execution.
  • Drive key financial results, including revenues, volume, margins, days outstanding, and accurate forecasting of consumable reagents and instruments.
  • Monitor competition by gathering and analyzing current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Maintain and grow the customer database using our customer relations management software to meet management expectations.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Consistently attain or exceed sales, profit, and market share goals within expense guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as sales, marketing, product development, and customer support to align channel activities with overall business objectives.
  • Share insights and feedback from channel partners to improve company offerings and strategies.
  • Build and manage a successful sales team; develop and mentor sales personnel.
  • Lead business development initiatives in the region to improve market share in major/key accounts.
  • Conduct field travel as necessary (50% or more).

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field; or the equivalent knowledge and functional experience.
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience will be advantageous.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in Sales with 2+ years of proven indirect (channel) experience.
  • Management experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Exceptionally committed, assertive, and self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Professional selling and presentation skills to influence multiple levels at customer organizations.
  • Proven negotiation skills to close sales successfully.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Strong analytical skills and intellectual ability to develop ideas, grasp sophisticated product applications, and apply creative thinking.
  • Effective decision-making ability to evaluate alternatives, analyze impacts, and implement decisions with appropriate evidence and rationale.
  • Communicate account objectives and action plans to management via weekly business reviews and other communication vehicles.
  • Proficient computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
