Job Summary
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific's Corporate IT team in the Human Resources Technology Services (HRTS) division as a member of the Human Capital Management (HCM) Systems team. The candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing efficient solutions to support HR business processes, policies, and legal requirements. They will collaborate with end-users, internal IT staff, and external consultants to gather and analyze data for proposed projects and system requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful project management, proficiency in HR systems modules and configurations, and collaborating closely with various departments and teams globally to ensure efficient implementation that exceeds customer expectations.

Responsibilities
- Analyze and document business processes within the existing HCM system (Workday)
- Configure the Recruit module to meet business requirements, including job requisitions, candidate management, applicant tracking, through to hiring and onboarding
- Consult on security role changes within the HCM application in support of the Recruiting functional domain
- Support recruiting-related internal and external career sites, system eligibility rules, and workflows
- Prepare written documentation for system assessments, specifications, SOPs, and testing and training materials
- Provide recommendations for and implement changes to existing business processes
- Develop and complete test procedures, scenarios, and cases; document and communicate results.
- Interact with project team members to ensure successful system updates and modifications
- Assist in the security accreditation processes for new or modified applications
- Act as a liaison between business users and the technical team to analyze functional requirements
- Solve helpdesk cases related to HR functions like personnel administration and compensation management
- Communicate user requirements as functional requirements in a clear manner
- Assess the impact of change requests and provide work estimates
- Collaborate on multi-functional process improvement projects
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in HCM systems and developing and configuring HR applications
- Knowledge of Workday HCM system and its Recruiting capabilities is required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience required
- In-depth IT experience supporting human resource processes
- Detailed knowledge of systems development cycles and methodologies
- Team-oriented with leadership skills; able to work independently
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Highly self-motivated and directed; ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Keen attention to detail
