Sr Customer Service Representative

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Senior Customer Service Representative. As a global leader in scientific research and development, Thermo Fisher Scientific is dedicated to making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by efficiently handling inquiries, resolving issues, and processing orders for analytical instruments. You will collaborate with various internal departments, including Sales, Finance, Contract Management, Credit, Order Fulfillment, and Logistics, to ensure a flawless customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter orders for analytical instruments into the SAP system.
  • Collaborate with internal customers from various departments to address new orders or existing order issues.
  • Review orders to ensure adherence to Thermo's standard acceptable commercial terms.
  • Confirm pricing aligns with applicable price lists.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for completed orders.
  • Use process work instructions and ISO procedures for bids, quotes, orders, and invoices.
  • Meet the requirements of the Export Management System
  • Coach, mentor, and train colleagues on order checklist reviews.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing for system or process changes.
  • Assist in maintaining customer master data in the ERP system.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
  • Provide phone support related to the order process.
  • Verify commission accrual for distributor orders.
  • Maintain accurate customer order files and archival procedures.
  • Assist with the resolution of accounts receivable collection issues.
  • Generate credit memos as authorized by manager or finance recommendations.
  • Review WIN form and Opportunities to find potential avenues for early engagement with Sales and Customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in a related field is acceptable, in addition to an Associate's degree and/or college coursework completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask preferred.
  • Prior experience with SAP and SalesForce.com is useful but not required.
