As the Head of Marketing at SDG Japan, you will play a vital role in the regional leadership team. Your responsibility will be to oversee all marketing activities, ensuring steady and balanced growth for the business.

Job Description

Reports To: Sr. Director SDG Japan

Dotted Line Reports To: VP, Global Marketing, IDD

Group/Division: IDD

  • Deliver Revenue and EBITA targets for IDD Japan
  • Be responsible for developing the IDD Japan and each division marketing strategy (both product and channel) and its flawless execution.
  • Partner with IDD global marketing team (CoE) to make sure solid alignment between Japan's marketing plan and global one, and to win required support (resource) from them.
  • Develop NPI (new product introduction) strategy and lead its execution to keep product portfolio enough competitive.
  • Participate and contribute to required strategic/tactical efforts as a member of the SDG Japan leadership team.
  • Establish clear business objectives, define and track important metrics, and make timely adjustments as needed.
  • Develop an organizational evolution plan of the IDD Japan marketing team to enable future success.
  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the entire IDD Japan marketing team; Provide effective mentorship to staff members to strengthen organizational capacity and foster a robust talent pipeline.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Min. 10 years' experience in product marketing representative or product marketing manager
  • Min. 5 years of management experience in sales or marketing organization
  • Experience of business intelligence or marketing analysis
  • Have basic knowledge of the healthcare market environment, laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated success in hands-on leading and developing teams with a strong focus on performance, coaching, mentoring, and collaboration.
  • Work experience in a matrix-based global organization.
  • Dealing with ambiguity; the flexibility to adapt with change; change agent skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Native level of Japanese, Proficient in English.

Desirable experience

  • Experience of business and/or channel development in the clinical segment
  • Experience in digital marketing
  • Understanding on a promotion code either for :
  • Japan Association of Clinical Reagents Industries
  • Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association
  • Japan Federation of Medical Devices Associations
