Role & Responsibilities:

  • Perform Electron Microscope (EM) product demonstrations mainly on FIB tools, including the development of new techniques and applications for Thermo Fisher partners and customers.
  • Building strong customer relationships and serving as a primary point of contact for instrument/application concerns. Providing clear explanations of complex technology and delivering detailed technical presentations. Assisting with applications development.
  • Assist standard acceptance test & customer acceptance test for newly installed tools.
  • Deliver professional tool operation and application support during the post-sales cycle and after the instrument has been installed.
  • Proficient at tool operations and able to complete assignments with minimal direction.
  • Provide continuous feedback to product groups on system performance, features, and potential problems while collaborating with marketing/development groups on future product developments.
  • Familiarize with failure analysis processes in the semiconductor industry and understand customers' HVPs.
  • Accumulate technical experience to polish current existing BKMs or generate innovative methods.
  • Clear understanding of Thermo Fisher strategic goals and product placement. Able to drive engagement strategy with customers.

The Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

  • Typically requires a preferred MS degree in semiconductor, micro-electronics, physics, material science, or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience with a strong semiconductor background.
  • Knowledge and recent hands-on experience with Electron Microscopes (EM), such as SEM, TEM, or FIB, is helpful. Knowledge of sophisticated analytical techniques is desirable.
  • 2 years+ work or research experience in the semiconductor/EM industry is preferable.
  • Good at self-study and well-time management.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor devices/materials/process flow is a good plus.
  • Knowledge of Matlab, C/C++, or Python is helpful.
  • Proficient Chinese and English interpersonal and technical writing skills.
  • Please expect about a 35% traveling rate.
