Director, Finance - Healthcare Market Division

This is an outstanding opportunity to lead and develop a team of 18 finance professionals within our Healthcare Market Division. Collaborate across Sales, Global Strategic Pricing, IT, and Marketing management to build advanced financial analysis and reporting. Successfully implement and communicate your recommendations to drive central initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and Develop Team: Coordinate a team of 18 finance professionals, encouraging an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Global Strategic Pricing, IT, and Marketing to ensure flawless financial analysis and reporting.
  • Business Partnering: Develop quarterly segment forecasts and contribute to customer-focused Annual Operating Plan components.
  • Participate in strategic discussions with customers during RFP and contracting processes. Prepare and coordinate RFPs and financial models.
  • Present clear, concise, and accurate analysis to Senior Management.
  • Interact with selling and legal organizations to implement customer contracts. including ensuring business term language and business objectives are aligned.
  • Lead a team responsible for driving the year-end price roll process using Global Strategic Pricing tools.
  • Analyze contract renewals, compliance, and pricing reviews.
  • Collaborate with supplier partners and HMD Marketing on capital and reagent contracts.
  • Review and approve capital contracts.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, internal control, forecasting, analysis, process management, and technical accounting.
  • Leadership and Initiative: Adopt the Thermo Fisher Scientific 4-I values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.
  • Business Insight: Extensive understanding of the industry and the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex data.
  • Communication Skills: Remarkable written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to executive levels.
  • Team Leadership: Proven history of leading cross-functional teams and building organizational relationships.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Oracle, MS Access, SQL, COGNOS, and Visual Basic preferred.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, finance, Economics, Business or related field. Advanced qualifications (CPA, MBA) preferred. 10+ years of dynamic Accounting/Finance experience with 3+ years in managing a team.
