Your proven track record in finance and client facing all come together in this role. Sodexo Live's Airport Lounges Segment is seeking a Director of Finance to develop, drive, and execute its business strategy by providing financial support, influence, and leadership in the areas of control, planning, financial analysis, project management, training, risk mitigation, contract mobilization, contract management, and accounting. Reporting to our VP Finance for the Segment, this role will be responsible for supporting the segment's portfolio.

The Director of Finance ensures complete knowledge of monthly results for assigned portfolio of business, drives segment initiatives, and makes recommendations to Sodexo and Client senior management. Has the accountability for the performance and results of a team or complex area within finance in assigned Segment. At highest levels responsible for partnering with Segment senior leaders on Finance strategy for the assigned Segment. Handles general accounting and financial reporting, cost accounting, auditing, budgeting, and forecasting, and systems individually and in consultation with Centers of Excellence as appropriate. Responsible for providing oversight and direction to Unit Finance. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures, risk mitigation, and business plan; receives guidance from senior manager. Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers.

  • Proven track record in finance with experience successfully working with both company leadership and clients.
  • A proven track record of delivering exceptional service in a client-facing role by actively listening and building relationships through regular face-to-face interactions.
  • Must understand revenue recognition, commercial models, and contracts.
  • A self-starter to quickly learn through online tools and peers.
  • Relationship builder both internally and externally, with ability to influence and negotiate externally.
  • Understanding and commitment to client service demonstrated consistently in values, principles, and work ethic.
  • Significant financial exposure impacting key P&L and Balance sheet lines, the experience to be a business partner to operations - gravitas and experience to challenge, for example Project costing, pricing, and accounting.
  • Process orientation and implementation experience. Experience in project managing multiple projects simultaneously is preferred.
  • Knowledge of key contract terms & conditions.
  • Knowledge of Union Collective Bargaining Agreements is a plus.
  • Ability to support various processes for the segment including but not limited to permitting & licensing as supported by Sodexo's legal team.
  • Ability to manage multiple key projects for the segment including project updates, setting and driving milestone achievements in partnership with various stakeholders, and communicating results to multiple levels within the organization.
  • Prior experience mobilizing new contracts and supporting operational teams with start-up training.
  • A customer service spirit and desire to train teams on financial related content relevant to driving improved operational performance.
  • Hands on pro-active approach with an ability to work well autonomously.
  • Excellent communication skills (Sodexo finance regional/global teams, client finance team) and proven ability to work in a collaborative way with business partners, key employees, top management, and client groups.
  • Presentation skills, ability to interact at any level of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.). Broad experience with other ERP software and financial systems is desired (particularly SAP)
