Job Description
Position Summary:
Own the Biosciences Division (BID) Sales in Japan, driving strategic growth. Leading all aspects of all sales activities, both direct and third-party, ensuring we meet our revenue and margin goals.
In this role, you will work closely with teams like Service Management, Customer Services, and Operations to create a commercial strategy that benefits our customers. Leading pricing and product performance, making adjustments where necessary.
Your focus will also include building strong customer relationships, serving as the main point of contact for any concerns. You will represent BID Japan at key meetings and collaborate with global Thermo Fisher Scientific teams to improve customer satisfaction through our Customer Allegiance Scoring (CAS) programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with BID Regional and Divisional leaders to develop and implement a strategy for increasing customer value and market share in Japan.
- Drive collaboration with other commercial and functional teams in a matrix structure (Sales and Marketing Managers, Key Account Managers, Japan LT, shared services like Finance, IT, Human Resources) to support growth.
- Work with regional commercial teams to improve our commercial reach and effectiveness. Develop channel and go-to-market strategies, including thorough third-party due diligence processes.
- Establish and control expense budgets for the BID sales organization and actively lead the success and accountability of the commercial execution planning forecast function.
- Take part in Japan and Division/APJ sales meetings, leadership meetings, MBR, QBR, AOP, and STRAP preparations and presentations.
- Recruit, train, review, develop, and structure direct sales teams to meet market demands.
- Build a successful commercial team through strong coaching and leadership. Ensure timely recognition and reward for top performers and deploy performance management actions when needed.
