About the Internship
The LGA Airport Maintenance Department coordinates with other airport and agency units to achieve our agency goals and drive a world-class customer experience at LGA Airport. We efficiently maintain the airport's physical plant and maintain unit compliance with all applicable codes, rules and regulations, while fostering exemplary safe work practices. We also plan and oversee the delivery of maintenance services to all Port Authority units, the public, and airport tenants.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with all aspects of budget preparation and submission for LGA's six (6) Maintenance units; including but not limited to budget entry, participation in individual unit meetings as well as meetings with our Finance team and General Manager's Office, creation of cost benefits analysis, etc.
- Track contract spending.
- Update the airport's Snow and Ice Control Plan to support winter weather snow removal activities.
- Assist the LGA Airport Asset Management team with data cleaning and entry.
- Assist with other ad hoc priority projects.

Minimum Qualifications
- Enrollment at a college/university through Summer 2025 and into the Fall 2025 semester
Desired Qualifications
- Attention to detail and flexibility to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Power BI
- Data analysis
Internship Details:
- The start date will be Thursday, May 29, 2025
- The internship will last approximately 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 22, 2025
- This is a full-time internship (5 days per week at 7.25 hours per day)
- The format is expected to be hybrid with the majority of the week onsite

Compensation & Benefits
- The hourly rate range is $17.63 to $29.57 (the exact rate will be determined by internship type and rising school year)
