In this position with the AAA ACG Corporate Social Responsibility team, you will:
- Work alongside the Sustainability and Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion teams to plan and coordinate programming aimed at providing community members with basic needs and social wellness
- Conduct research on potential nonprofit and community partners and make recommendations on funding directions
A DAY IN THE LIFE of a Corporate Social Responsibility Intern
ACG is seeking an outgoing, motivated student to join our team as a Corporate Social Responsibility Intern.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about how a large business executes on corporate social responsibility strategies and how it is connected to the company's greater mission and goals
- Gain insight from a top, award-winning Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team on best practices and innovative approaches
- Develop a greater understanding of the community needs across Metro Detroit and how leaders from different industries are working alongside community organizations to help meet the needs
- Manage projects with external non-profit community partners
WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Must be at least a college junior, fully enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at Wayne State University, involved in WSU's MPREP Program, with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must be studying Social Work, Sociology, Cultural Anthropology, Corporate Social Responsibility, or related field
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal savvy, communication skills, organization skills, and strong situational adaptability
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Experience with PC software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
- Ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize tasks to ensure timely solutions to problems that meet business line goals
Knowledge of:
- Basic math calculations to accurately perform various types of transactions
Ability to:
- Learn the full range ACG products, services and functions to perform the responsibilities of assigned job
- Assist internal/external client in response to questions, requests and resolution of problems
- Review records, system files, reports, etc. to ensure correct information is reflected and/or assigned
- Gather data and prepare/track reports
- Assist and/or develop reports/presentations/recommendations for management review
- Work independently and on teams
Must be:
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Are a current/past recipient of AAA - The Auto Club Group's Social Justice Innovator Scholarship
- Are involved in community service-related extracurricular activities

Compensation and Time Commitment
The Auto Club Group will provide compensation of $19.50/hour for 40 hours/week. The interns will be expected to report during the hours of 9:00am - 6:00pm (ET) Monday through Friday for the entirety of the twelve (12) week semester. The 2025 summer internship program begins May 19th and runs until August 8th.
Work Environment
This position is currently able to work remotely from a home office location for two days per week, however there is an expectation to be in the Dearborn-based office approximately 3 days per week, or as required by business need. This is subject to change based on amendments and/or modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy.
