Job Overview
TE Connectivity's R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams conceive original ideas for new products, introduce them into practice. They are responsible for product development, and qualification from market definition through production and release; assist in the qualification of suppliers for new products to ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services for new or improved manufacturing processes; conduct feasibility studies, testing on new and modified designs; direct and support detailed design, testing, prototype fabrication and manufacturing ramp. The R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams provide all required product documentation including, but not limited to, Solid Model, 2D/3D production drawings, product specifications, and testing requirements. They create and modify detailed drawings and drafting or conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches or notes and contribute to design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product. Typical fields of expertise include: materials, mechanics and systems, electrical, optics, chemistry, software, automation systems, packaging, testing and measurement, and manufacturing of electrical, mechanical and electronic components, products, and their integration into systems.

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Technical liaison/Lead in term of product Test and validation.
- Technical lead of the technical topics with customer interface and/or customer representative/Sales and Marketing.
- Participate to possible shows related to suppliers and customers.
- Interface with different requestors (Marketing/Quality/ Customers).
- Coordinate with different departments the activities need and lead the process.
- Pilot the "Design to cost", "Design reuse" ....
- Create or/and Design FMEA and Design revues.
- Participate the product qualification, precisely the analysis of metrology and follow-up of testing ....
- Assure the good project documentation management under PLM (Program Central) and respecting all the rules of documentation classification.
- Insure the interface with HR
- Work to deploy the department strategy within the team.
- Follow KPI's of the team related to the and establish an action plan for improvement.
- Create a safe space for work for all the team members respecting TE values.
What your background should look like:
- Engineer Degree, Generalist, Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrated Leadership (Trainings and certifications).
- Knowhow on Material resistance.
- Knowhow on process: Cutting, Molding, Plastics, Conceptions, CAO, Plastic and metals, Material treatment.
- Confirmed experience of >7years in Engineering is required.
- Min 4 years' experience in Team Management is required.
- Strong background in Lean principals.
