Job Overview
The Aerospace, Defense, & Marine (AD&M) Business Unit within TE is seeking an experienced Director of Accounting and Compliance to provide critical support to the Business Unit. This position will involve a wide range of finance, accounting, and compliance responsibilities, including government accounting and compliance, and operations compliance. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's compliance with US federal procurement requirements, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS, and other agency supplements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Government Accounting & Compliance:
- Proposals & Contracts: Support proposal and contract development, ensuring compliant cost and pricing practices.
- Cost Accounting & Rates: Maintain cost accounting practices and oversee indirect rates (e.g., G&A, overhead).
- Regulatory Communications: Liaise with the U.S. Government on compliance matters; monitor regulatory changes.
- Audit Management: Lead DCAA/DCMA audit responses, ensuring FAR, CAS, and DFARS compliance.
- Compliance Policies: Conduct compliance monitoring; create and implement policies and training.
- DFARS Compliance & ERP: Manage DFARS compliance and ERP implementation for regulatory needs.
- Pricing Management: Oversee pricing rates, forward pricing, and Incurred Cost Proposals (ICPs).
- Business Advisor: Provide guidance on regulatory developments and represent the company in industry associations.Operations Compliance
- Operational Compliance
- Team Leadership: Lead the operations compliance team, enhancing controls, policies, and procedures.
- Audit Collaboration: Work with Internal Audit and Finance on all audit processes and follow-up actions.
- Fixed Asset Compliance: Ensure compliance for fixed asset assessments.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on policy changes, audit statuses, and compliance measures.
- Leadership:
- Strategic Advisor: Advise senior leadership on Government Accounting and Compliance matters.
- Liaison Role: Coordinate government compliance efforts with Internal Audit and USG teams.
- Training & Education: Develop compliance training for stakeholders on policies and best practices.
- Team Management: Lead the Operations & Government Accounting and Compliance team.
What your background should look like:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or another related field.
• MBA and/or CPA preferred
• Experience in Manufacturing, Aerospace/Defense industry required.
• 15 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Compliance, with 10 years of experience directly related to Government Accounting and Compliance.
Experience:
• Experience with and an advanced understanding of Government Accounting regulations (FAR, CAS, DFARS, and other agency supplements). Experience leading DCAA/DCMA audits and interacting with USG contracting officers.
• Experience with government contracts, pricing, and proposals with FP&A.
• Experience with DoD business systems, cost accounting, and procurement regulations.
• Experience conducting audits, managing compliance programs, and developing training materials within a large organization.
• Strong people leadership - both direct reporting relationships and through influence. Proven experience acting as a business advisor and influencer to senior leadership.
Skills:
• Ability to develop solutions to complex problems, requiring an advanced degree of innovation, problem-solving, and creativity skills.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards, preferably in the Manufacturing or Aerospace & Defense industries.
• Operates at the highest ethical and legal standard, acting as a role model to the organization.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $165,500-248,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
