Job Description
Charles River focuses intently on delivering market leading and feature rich technology wrapped in an exceptional client service experience. As a Client Manager, you will take ownership of CRD's client accounts to focus on client retention and growth. You will collaborate with the client's leadership team to ensure strategic alignment and strong, long-term partnerships. You will work closely with your peers in the Client Management team to ensure effective engagement with these relationships across your accounts.
As a Client Manager, you must demonstrate your ability to manage relationships through effective strategic thinking and partnerships. You will work closely with and influence both internal and client business leaders and decision makers. You will leverage your organisational and interpersonal skills to ensure Charles River continues to deliver an exceptional client service experience, while advancing the goals of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
The Charles River Client Manager is expected to actively manage sophisticated Charles River IMS accounts:
- Manage a book of accounts with support from Client Management leaders on your team
- Establish senior relationships with C-Level and business heads of your accounts and develop an understanding of client strategy and CRD's place in achieving that strategy
- Establish long-term, strategic objectives for each client, and measure success against account plan goals
- Ensure effective client issue resolution, project delivery, response to information requests, and collaboration with other CRD teams
- Ensure a high touch engagement model with your clients, including regular onsite visits, project status calls and executive engagements
- Assist the internal Sales team to identify and foster revenue opportunities including additional application modules and services, training, or services
- Maintain awareness of market and industry trends and news relevant to CRD and client base
- Sustain a strong understanding of the Charles River IMS and keeping up-to-date with current offerings and upgrades.
What We Value
These skills will help you succeed in this role:
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Technology or relevant discipline.
- 7 years' experience within the Financial Services /Software industry, specifically in a Relationship/Client Management or similarly functioning role
- Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to articulate or present issues, options and resolutions verbally and in writing.
- Ability to foster strong relationships across client organisations, with senior managers (C-Level) and key decision makers in large and small firms, including good personal and working relationships with end users
- Ability to multi-task and successfully manage simultaneous priorities
- Proven organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and as a member of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Native Japanese speaker.
- Ability to travel to client sites 20-30% per calendar year
