The VP of HX will be responsible for building networks of people, organizations, technologies, and ideas to ensure Bixal is constantly evolving and finding opportunities to make a difference, grow and lead.

As the Vice President of Human Experience at Bixal, you will be a strategic leader responsible for managing customer experience (CX), experience design and experience research functions across the organization. You will play a critical role in shaping the digital experiences we deliver to our government clients, ensuring they are intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly. By leading a team of talented professionals, you will drive innovation and excellence in CX and human centered design, contributing to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.

The VP of Human Experience will show sensitivity and establish respect, credibility and trust in government and non-government settings. The ideal candidate has the ability to think strategically and creatively to identify problems and implement solutions.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Iterate and execute Bixal’s strategy to deliver offerings and solutions to-market comprising our Human Experience (HX) practice capabilities: Experience Research, User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Accessibility, Creative Services and Customer Experience (CX). 
  • Provide thought leadership in HX and its practice capabilities, positioning Bixal as an industry leader in the government space, both domestically and internationally. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to maintain and deepen integration of Human-Centered Design principles into all appropriate aspects of the organization. 
  • Identify opportunities to apply lessons learned and best practices across domestic and international projects, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. 

Business Development:

  • Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities to leverage HX in service of client needs, particularly within the federal government sector. 
  • Collaborate with the business development team to craft compelling proposals and presentations that highlight Bixal’s HX-related capabilities. 
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping Bixal's win strategies by leading the development of compelling technical win themes and solution readiness plans, ensuring our proposals stand out for their excellence. 
  • Provide comprehensive support across all stages of opportunity pursuit, from qualification to capture strategy, fostering customer relationships, managing competitor dynamics, and providing effective team leadership throughout. 

UX/UI Design and Innovation:

  • Oversee the Bixal teams' creation of wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that meet user needs and business goals.
  • Inspire innovation Bixal's in UX/UI design, staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies to enhance digital experiences.
  • Oversee the Bixal teams' efforts to develop and implement customer experience strategies that align with client objectives and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the Bixal teams' design of end-to-end customer journeys, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience across all touchpoints.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Provide visionary leadership to the HX practice, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
  • Mentor and develop team members, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers within the organization.
  • Collaborate smoothly with other senior leaders across Bixal's business, leveraging the company's broad strengths for the benefit of customers in our markets.

Consulting:

  • Engage with key stakeholders, including government officials and agency leaders, to understand their HX-related compliance targets, needs and aspirations, and position Bixal as a preferred partner. 
  • Bridge the gap between people, processes and technology by adeptly understanding the customer's viewpoint and articulating this viewpoint in understandable language tailored for non-technical audiences, Mentor others in this skillset.
  • Identify and select the most effective approaches to addressing client challenges in order to meet anticipated or actual acquisition requirements. 

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and objectives to deliver tailored project approaches.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Establish quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality HX solutions.
  • Monitor project performance and outcomes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Business). Master’s degree preferred.     
  • Proven experience in leading teams across Human Experience (HX) practice capability areas [Experience Research, User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Accessibility, Creative Services and Customer Experience (CX)] in a government contracting environment.
  • Deep expertise in human-centered design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
