CO Salary Range: USD 174,300.00 - 290,300.00 per year

JOB SUMMARY
The Vice President of Mobile Product - Devices will be responsible for Spectrum Mobile's devices and accessories strategy and executing the mobile devices and accessories roadmap (smartphones, tablets, watches, accessories), including all concept, business case, business requirements, Request for Proposal (RFP), selection, certification, development, product catalog, market launch, and portfolio lifecycle activities. Applies expert knowledge on current and emerging mobile and wireless technologies, market trends and competitive offerings, and existing and future relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to define and deliver a multi-year roadmap for all of Spectrum Mobile's devices and accessories. Reporting to the Vice President of Mobile Product, leads a team of product director and manager reports and executes the roadmap by working cross-functionally. This role requires deep knowledge of Cellular, WiFi and other wireless technologies, demonstrated experience in mobile devices product development and lifecycle management, and a vision for how Charter can leverage mobile and wireless technology to extend our competitive advantage through our devices and accessories portfolio.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Responsible for understanding competitive products and consumer trends and incorporating into the product roadmap to ensure Spectrum Mobile gains and maintains competitive advantage in mobile devices.
  • Develop the product roadmap for mobile devices and accessories, ensuring the right strategic portfolio and managing the sequence of development.
  • Apply a strong understanding of product development processes to lead the execution of all product development initiatives for Spectrum Mobile devices and accessories, holding the organization accountable to deliver the product roadmap on time and within budget.
  • Responsible for the capital budgets of related product development initiatives.
  • Define wireless product features and requirements with focus on usability, customer experience and operational excellence.
  • Develop strong, effective partnerships between the Product Management team and other functional organizations (Wireless Engineering, Advanced Engineering, Software Development, IT, Customer Operations, Network Operations and 3rd Party suppliers) to properly interpret requirements and deliver the product roadmap.
  • Establish self as a recognized subject matter expert in mobile devices and technologies and be able to collaborate effectively with technical groups.
  • Ensure alignment between the business strategy, business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Lead team of direct reports and expands team with exceptional talent as Spectrum Mobile scales.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Strong background and experience in wireless technologies - Cellular, WiFi, and related Technologies.
  • Expert knowledge on current and emerging mobile and wireless technologies, market trends and competitive offerings
  • Executive level Product leadership in mobile devices, accessories (smartphones, tablets, watches, accessories), and value-added services
  • Ability to provide leadership to ensure proper alignment with and execution of the strategic plan.
  • Experience with and ability to form strong relationships across cable, Internet, mobile, technology and other related industries.
  • Strong relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)
  • Strong leadership skills with a cooperative, inclusive style, and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of leadership.
  • Experienced leading cross-functional teams, problem-solving, identifying key issues, and creatively overcoming internal challenges or obstacles.

Required Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Science Field

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

12 years or more Mobile or wireless product management or product development experience
10 years or more Management experience

The base pay for this position generally is between $174,300.00 and $290,300.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
