TITLE: Software Engineer VI
LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO
JOB SUMMARY: Design, develop, modify, and implement applications and services designed to support organization's applications. Analyze and develop java solutions based on customer requirements. Code, test, and debug new software and make enhancements to existing software. Support, troubleshoot, and develop Spectrum Mobile buyflows and enterprise level web services for backend by investigating, researching, and coordinating with backend teams. Write code and perform unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements. Assist with development and implementation of strategies for migration, consolidation, and upgrade of system components. Coordinate with vendors and internal support teams on problem solution, defects, design issues, and upgrades. Analyze and resolve computer related problems to diagnose and fix operational difficulty, advise, and train on specialized features and functions. Influence system design by identifying and recommending design and requirement needs for software enhancements. Recommend efficiency of software systems by implementing, monitoring, testing, and auditing new software programs. Ensure monitoring and alerting is in place for all critical services, infrastructure, and vendor connections using Splunk, App Dynamics, and Solarwinds. Lead code review sessions to validate adherence with development standards and provide input to development teams. Mentor and train junior members of the team and act as an escalation point for all issues.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; 4 years of experience utilizing Java and J2EE to design, code, develop, and test applications in Java programming language J2EE; 3 years of experience utilizing Spring MVC to build and develop Enterprise Web applications; 3 years of experience utilizing Oracle SQL to handle large data and perform different database operations; 2 years of experience utilizing Microservices to build applications; and 2 years of experience utilizing Junit and Mockito to write unit test cases and test applications. Hybrid (in office and remote) work arrangement available.
