Senior Manager, Marketing Research

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for leading a variety of marketing research activities that support multiple functions across the company. This individual will report to the Dir, Marketing Research and manage external research consultants and lead vendors to deliver against a highly strategic set of marketing research objectives. This position will also help on-board new team members and serve as a resource for more junior team members. The position will work proactively across the organization to identify, champion and act on research and information needs. This position involves extensive research design, primary and secondary research reporting, and research project management.

Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Responsible for leading the development of new research efforts across a variety of initiatives.

Construct research to help guide internal clients to make informed business decisions.

Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, including sr. leadership.

Be a strategic thinker with an eye to help move the business forward.

Efficiently and effectively manage appropriate partnerships, vendors, contractors, consultants, etc.

Work collaboratively with internal teams on a variety of research projects.

Lead multiple primary research projects, including advertising testing, product usability, and satisfaction and brand health trackers.

Manage the research budget.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Experience working with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

Ability to analyze and interpret data to make recommendations based on analysis and expertise

Ability to identify research necessary to address a multitude of business needs

Experience interpreting and summarizing secondary data (e.g. Forrester, Mintel, etc.)

Resourceful, proactive, detail-oriented and able to thrive in fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects at once

Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; proficient in other desktop applications

Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and handle shifting priorities

Required Education

Bachelor´s degree in Research, Marketing, Business, Management or related field

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Project management experience - 5+
Marketing Research experience - 7+

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Knowledge of all major research methodologies, leading companies, associations, publications, industry trends and innovations
Knowledge of Comperemedia, Kantar, Forrester and SNL platforms
Knowledge of cable television, internet, media and telephony products and services

WORKING CONDITIONS

Office environment, light to moderate travel required (10-20%)
