As a Manager, Accounting/Reporting, you will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and maintaining various reports used internally and supporting external reporting by managing the company's financial reporting governance strategy. Your quality work and integrity in analyzing financial data will ensure that transactions across our businesses are accurately reflected. By taking a strategic long-term view and complying with accounting standards, you will help position our business leaders to make better and timely decisions that achieve our goals.

WHAT OUR JOB TITLE ENJOY MOST

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Managing the preparation and review of monthly report packages, and supporting material, including internal and external data.
  • Completing timely functional workloads as assigned (various report preparations, support information, maintenance of the financial reporting hierarchy and the chart of accounts).
  • Communicating with personnel on accounting related issues involving their area of responsibility and the applicable staff.
  • Working with other organizations as needed on governance issues to gain alignment and ensure the impact of any changes/enhancements/ or issues are understood and communicated.
  • Evaluating data for consistency between various data sources, communicating inconsistencies, and working on resolutions.
  • Working with various financial systems (SAP, Essbase, BI, etc.) to ensure the information included is accurate; identifying any inconsistencies and effects on various users, then proposing resolutions.
  • Completing special projects and working with other team members as needed.
  • Completing all SOX work timely with signoffs and documentation. Communicating issues as needed. Monitoring and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting
  • Principles, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, local, state, federal laws.
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.
  • Performing other duties as required.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Accounting theory and procedures
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner
  • Ability to supervise and motivate others
  • Demonstrated computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SAP general ledger software and Essbase

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid Schedule- Three-in-office days weekly
