Location: We are seeking an Intern - Marketing - Preference given to candidates based in the Southeast or Northeast.

Principal Function:

The Intern - Marketing will help develop and execute marketing strategy for Sodexo Live! across our portfolio of venues with catering and quick serve service offerings. They are responsible for assisting with planning, building, and implementing marketing campaigns across multiple channels and platforms. They will use organic search campaigns, paid advertising, email marketing, social media, and other channels to increase awareness about our private event spaces and catering/quick service creating MQLs for our venue sales team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maximize Sodexo Live!'s revenue and operational excellence through implementation of systems and policies related to all aspects of marketing operations.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of business unit by reconciling data and providing information, insight, analysis, and recommendations to maximize revenues and profits.
  • Contribute to goal of making Sodexo Live! #1 in Event Hospitality and the #1 Employer of Choice through personal commitment and leading by example.
  • Creative Interpretation: Ability to take complex ideas or concepts and transform them into engaging and visually compelling marketing materials.
  • Storytelling Skills: Proven ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences across various platforms and mediums.
  • Copywriting Expertise: Strong understanding of copywriting principles, with the ability to write clear, persuasive, and on-brand content that drives action.
  • Advanced Social Media Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of current social media platforms, trends, and strategies, with a knack for creating content that engages and grows online communities.
  • Content Writing & Generation: Ability to create, edit, and curate a variety of content, from blogs and articles to website copy and social media posts, all with a focus on quality and audience engagement.
  • Junior/Senior/Graduate-Level Candidates: Open to candidates with a strong academic background or early career experience, eager to secure a permanent role with room for growth and upward mobility within the organization.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Current college student with studies in hospitality/food management, communications, human resources, accounting, marketing or another industry-related college program.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize and work successfully both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Keen ability to connect easily with others and create positive positioning within a particular context or subject matter.
  • Demonstrated success in interfacing with a variety of organizational functions and divisions to accomplish tasks.

Other Requirements:

  • Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.

Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
