Sodexo is hiring a Biomedical Equipment Technician 1 at Endeavor Health Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, Illinois.

It is recognized as a Level II Trauma Center and certified by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center-providing 24/7 access to a dedicated acute stroke team for timely diagnosis and treatment.

What You'll Do

  • Test electronic and mechanical equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections
  • Repair or replace defective parts
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibration, and tests

What You Bring

  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Decision making capabilities to troubleshoot and repair medical devices
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and basic networking theory
  • 1 year of experience in biomedical, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting
  • Scheduling flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation schedule

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment and/or equivalent of military BMET program and/or AAMI certified
