Our organization is seeking a Vice President of R&D to lead the Aprisa group within the Digital Design Creation Platform (DDCP). The role has global R&D responsibility and leads engineering. The Vice President will lead a global team of ~180 employees in the US, India, and Taiwan and report to the General Manager of the DDC platform, Siemens EDA.

The role may be based at Siemens' offices in Portland, OR; or Fremont, CA (Bay Area).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a competitive digital RTL-to-GDSII solution for the DDCP business and portfolio of products, including RTL synthesis, place and route, and static timing analysis.
  • Develop and implement capabilities for multi-die design closure for the emerging 3DIC era.
  • Manage the Aprisa R&D organization including RTL/gate-level implementation, digital and analog interfaces to Signoff products such as mPower and Calibre, to meet aggressive financial growth targets.
  • Lead Aprisa product development and innovation. Serve as the primary executive contact representing the product line with customer executives.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent. Develop and nurture a reputation for delivery, innovation, and excellence with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree from an accredited university.
  • 20+ years of professional experience in the electronics and/or semiconductor industries.
  • 5+ years of experience in R&D leadership roles.
  • Experience in EDA or similar software technology, with Experience in digital design areas such as knowledge of synthesis and implementation flows, knowledge of interfaces to power analysis, power integrity, thermal, and foundry certification of such engines, a plus.
  • Experience developing commercial and innovation strategies in a complex, global environment.
  • Experience with developing formal product innovation processes and roadmaps; able to use consumer insights and data analytics to support decisions.
  • An inspirational leader with the ability to recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team.
  • Experience as an industry thought leader, including participation in industry forums, panels, and speaking engagements, active in relevant industry associations.
  • Able to influence others through both direct and indirect networks; a consensus builder and change agent.
  • A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate him/herself and others; a natural bias for action.

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person's status or obtaining any necessary export license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree.

The salary range for this position is $235,200 to $376,300 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
