For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $72,800 - $109,200 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Software Outside Sales Representative supporting our Secure Power Division

Location: Nashville, TN is preferred. Open to remote in the U.S.

What will you do?
  • Making outbound pre-sales telephone calls, finding opportunities, and setting meetings with software prospects.
  • Work closely with the Account Managers and sales teams from across the Secure Power sales orgs to strategize, coordinate, and collaborate on an execution strategy to sell software.
  • Support NAM Sales teams by generating proposals and quotes, supporting joint meetings, and working closely with outside software sales representative counterparts to manage and support the NAM software funnel and close business.
  • This position requires creative thinking, extreme organizational skills, and a solution selling perspective to support meetings at every level within medium and large Enterprise accounts with a focus including CIOs, CEOs and other executives.

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?

The ideal candidate will have Bachelor's degree, in a technical field, or equivalent experience with 3-5 years of prior sales experience selling to medium and large Enterprise companies. The candidate will have a proven track record in cold calling with a minimum of 2 years experience within the IT industry and/or selling data center related products. Software sales experiences ideal.
  • Working knowledge of business process, IT trends, profit and loss, market strategy, and financial terms are expected.
  • Demonstrated leadership, time-management, advanced organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and the aptitude to understand and explain technical information in simple terms.
  • Have the ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships with assigned accounts. Superior oral and written communication skills are a must.
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers is required.
