For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $180,000- $240,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. As a pre-sales engineering leader in the US Enterprise Customers Organization the Segment Solutions Consultant collaborates closely with our sales teams to drive growth in our Public Sector (SLED) market, in support of our top state & local government and education customers in the US. The Segment Solutions Consultant will be a system-of-systems thought leader responsible for owning and advancing relationship s with key technical stakeholders . You will work closely with the sales, product, and marketing teams to uncover and understand customer technical requirements , develop tailored architectures and solutions, and articulate value proposition s to customers . Y our role will involve identifying key technology trends and collaborating with product development teams to align with customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a trusted technical advisor during the sales process, leveraging cross-segment operational, functional, and constructional capabilities to architect IIOT solutions that align with customer needs.
- Gain a deep understanding of the specific technical needs and challenges within the assigned market segment to inform solution development and sales strategies.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop targeted strategies for solution adoption and revenue growth within the assigned market segment.
- Create and deliver engaging technical presentations, demonstrations, and proposals to potential clients, effectively showcasing the value of our solutions.
- Inform technical market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities for market differentiation and inform strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with product development teams to provide valuable market insights and contribute to the development of new solutions that address customer requirements.
- Provide ongoing support and expertise to the sales team in client engagements, offering technical depth and leveraging Schneider Electric's full portfolio of offerings and solutions within the Customer's IT/OT environment.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of customer processes, parameters to be optimized, and decision criteria to bring forth differentiated solutions that address specific customer needs.
- Bring fresh industry and technology insights to influence operational and technical functions, building a pyramid of trust up to key decision makers with new customers.
- Stay updated on IIOT technologies and advancements, sharing relevant insights with the team to foster continuous learning and innovation.
The Segment Solutions Consultant is collaborative, leading multi-domain teams working to develop the best technical solution and know the internal resources and networks.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience as a customer-facing industry solution architect
- Knowledge of energy, electrical distribution and building automation software
- Highly motivated and experienced individual who has a proven record of developing customer relationships through architecting and providing IIOT solutions that mitigate customer pain points and drive profitable sales growth
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or systems engineering or work experience equivalent
- Ability to think big and quickly distill technical complexity
- E xpertise in the OT/IT landscape, systems integration, cloud, analytics, cybersecurity, and industry standards
- Experience in working with diverse technology platforms - both hardware and software, from Embedded Edge devices to cloud based PaaS/SaaS
- Familiarity with big data tools and analytics tools
- Ability to thrive in uncertainty, adapt to changes in the market and pivot as needed
- Strong relationship building & communication skills
- Tenacity, resilience, emotional intelligence
- Ability to work collaboratively within a sales team and the solution architect community
- Ability to travel within US as needed
