For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $180,000.00-$270,000.00 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Schneider Electric North America Strategic Customers team is a dynamic sales force within Schneider Electric, energizing the company's most critical Customers toward innovation, digitization, and sustainability in the new energy landscape.

As part of the Strategic Customers Team the Public Sector Solution Sales Consultant (SSC) teams with the Strategic Account Sales Executives in the Public Sector Market Segment driving growth in both established and new accounts. Serve as a bridge from sales to execution leading technical/architectural discussions on solution design, deployment and service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • As part of the sales process, acts as a trusted advisor that can develop strategic relationships and bring together customer needs to define repeatable solutions
  • Brings fresh industry and technology insights to build trust with key decision makers of new customers
  • Provides technical depth, understands, adapts, and applies Schneider Electric's full portfolio (including AVEVA) of offerings and solutions, digital and physical, to customer requirements
  • Works with Engineering Specifiers/Consultants as a trusted advisor promoting our solutions and the Schneider Electric point of view on the Public Sector Market Segment
  • Keeps up to date with energy, buildings, digital and industrial automation technologies, and shares with the team
  • Keeps up to date with the Public Sector Market Segment
  • The Public Sector SSC is collaborative, working to develop the best technical solutions for our customers and share knowledge and experience within the Strategic Customers Solutions Community

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES
  • Highly motivated and experienced individual who has a proven record of developing solutions for Public Sector customers
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or work experience equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the Public Sector industry
  • Experience in consultative solution selling
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the Public Sector processes and challenges
  • Experience Interpreting and responding to Public RFPs and RFQs
  • Ability to see and present the 'big picture' and offer solutions with that context
  • Very knowledgeable on energy, building, industrial automation and digital operations technologies
  • Power systems knowledge a plus
  • Familiar with competitors Public Sector industrial offerings
  • Ability to conduct technical presentations and lead discovery workshops with customers to develop solutions, based on customer-specific needs
  • Ability to thrive in uncertainty, adapt to changes in the market and pivot as needed
  • Ability to work collaboratively, within a sales team and matrixed environment
  • Ability to travel within North America as needed
