UK&I Payroll Specialist

Mission :

This is a key role within HR Services UK and Ireland, reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, supporting the HR Services Manager, HR Team and key stakeholders by providing specialist advice and guidance on Payroll processes and legislation. The key objective is to deliver an efficient and timely payroll aligned to business needs whilst applying a continuous improvement ethos to ultimately increase customer satisfaction, payroll accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Payroll processing: To ensure all employees are paid on time and accurately monthly by preparing and inputting data on to the SAP Payroll system. Following all processes in line with the appropriate timelines both pre and post payroll processing.
  • Payroll legislative compliance: Ensure all statutory legislation and company policies are adhered too, and that the Payroll is processed in line with these. Ensure all statutory deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Payroll employee services: SME (subject matter expert) for all Payroll related queries. Providing excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Time management system support: Central management of the UK&I time and attendance solution (UKG dimensions), including checking accrual profiles and assign manually where required. Assign appropriate pay rules manually and support delegation activity.
  • Payroll & Time attendance quality & continuous improvement: Ensure a quality payroll is delivered and measured according to our KPIs, adjusting whenever necessary, striving always for process improvement/digitisation to enhance our employee experience and free up energy within the team.

Skills and attributes:
  • 3 years'+ experience within a complex Payroll environment
  • Knowledge on Tax & regulations impacting payroll and working time regulations, curiosity to maintain the most updated information
  • Experience on time and attendance systems management would be an advantage
  • Collaboration is essential: working closely with HR Business Partners, HR administration, managers and employees
  • Hands on attitude and attention to detail
  • Compliance orientated and risk management
  • Passion for customer service and continuous improvement
  • Fluent in English is essential

Education
  • A Levels (minimum of 3). University degree would be an advantage.
  • Professional qualification in either Payroll or Finance would be an advantage.
