Financial Project Manager- Customer Management Office

The Financial Project Manager will be responsible for providing financial support to a project management team dedicated to a customer program. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for managing, processing, and troubleshooting various tasks required to efficiently execute projects and achieve financial performance for the program.

Location: Dallas, TX or Nashville, TN

What will you do?

  • Responsible for initial project set based on the project's contractual terms, conditions and requirements based on the as-sold budget.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Owner Change Orders are processed and posted in a timely manner.
  • Works closely with multiple Project Managers to ensure project financials are accurately reflected in ERP system
  • Review project costs to ensure they are allocated to the appropriate task codes within the project budget.
  • Develop and implement a process with the Project Managers to provide proactive project budget updates.
  • Develop processes with stakeholders to present project financials.
  • Work with Project Managers to close-out projects upon substantial completion.
  • Communicate with management to review project budgets, forecast costs through project completion, and report project margins.
  • Collaborates with project managers to complete accurate progress billings with timely delivery to customer.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Assistant to organize vendor payment requests and validate all subcontractor and vendor costs against existing individual SE agreements.
  • Serves as the point of contact between project management team and the project controllers, and provides support related to financial reporting and month end close.

Who will you report to?
  • Manager, Financial Project Management

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Finance or Business
  • 3+ years of experience in supporting a financial team or project management role
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred but not required
  • Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Possess strong communications skills, verbal and written
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office products specifically Excel
  • Project Accounting experience a plus
