Intelligent Edge team is responsible to deliver Edge platforms for Line of Businesses in order to help them accelerate the development of their products and their digital transformation.

It delivers two embedded platforms - for MCU and MPU, as well as Edge Core Services layer for these two platforms.

Embedded Edge Core Service Team is responsible to deliver this layer for both platforms maximizing reuse between them.

As the leader of Embedded Edge Core Services you will be part of the exiting journey to transform our Edge products into a software defined approach. This position gives a unique opportunity to work closely with many businesses within Schneider Electric via numerous interactions.

You will be reporting to the VP of Intelligent Edge and you will be part of the leadership team.

Your main responsibilities :
  • Manage SE resources and contractors (15+ people): product owners, developers, ...
  • Define and execute the roadmap for Edge Core Services agreed with the Product Management organization,
  • Continue to develop the autonomy of the agile teams and support the DevOps transformation inside the team,
  • Drive efficiency of the R&D: responsible of the application of SAFe (Agile process), define KPIs to measure the efficiency and put in place actions for improvements, identify the area where we must reinforce the team,
  • Ensure the quality of what is delivered by the team (code, documentation) and support the move to DevOps approach,
  • Work closely with all the R&D teams of intelligent Edge to deliver a consistent user experience for our Edge platforms and ensure a seamless integration of all the services
  • Organize the team to manage in parallel the support of projects and deliver the roadmap as expected,
  • Put in place partnerships for the features team (nearshore, service center, ...) in order to have more flexibility and manage in an efficient way the peak of activity,
  • Manage the relationship with our stakeholders during the execution phase,
  • Ensure that the maintenance contracts are robust and adopted by all the projects (this includes the charge back model),
  • Contribute to the development of tools mandatory for a successful deployment of our Edge Core Services (board farm, automated tests, ...),
  • Communicate the progress of the development and give visibility on challenges


You will work closely with the CTO office to support their HW platforming strategy.

Your profile :
  • MS in embedded software
  • 10 years + of experience in driving international software teams and developing talents
  • Strong background in embedded system (HW, FW and OS).
  • Soft skills: Open minded, transparent, good communication (oral and verbal)
  • Demonstrated capacity to influence and drive uncertainty,
  • Team p layer and capacity to build trust and confidence with people
  • Successful experience of deploying agile methodology
  • Outstanding written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills,
  • Must be an excellent facilitator and communicator.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse environments and cultures,
  • Comfortable with ambiguous situations,
  • Fluent in English
